Feeling Foodie: GRRRL SCOUT Oatmeal Banana Almond Cookies!

For every GRRRL SCOUT gig, we assign someone to bake cookies for us to giveaway at the show so we can stick to the theme of being GRRRL SCOUTs. Here is a poster for our latest gig which happened last night at Route 196! Don’t you just love CJ de Silva’s talent <3

Thanks to all our past cookie cadettes – Gabby, Homa, and ! For Boot Camp 5, the girl we asked to bake a new batch of cookies couldn’t do it at the last minute! Candy and I decided to bake the cookies ourselves except we both didn’t have ovens. Hahaha! So I called one of my best friends who loves to bake – Lauren!

She found a recipe online for Oatmeal cookies (God, I love the Internet) we could make! Click here to see the recipe!

We pretty much followed everything except we changed pecans to almonds.

I want to get myself these measuring chorvas for when I get my own oven and start baking. GRRRL SCOUT bakery coming soon #halfchos

Creaming the butter

Blending the butter, eggs, sugar and banana extractMy new puppy Joey watching us <3<3Crushing almondsNyareAdding the oats and almondsLo and her driver look heheheYummy batter – it was so difficult not to eat it right then and there because it smelled delicious!!The 8 minutes we waited for the first batch to bake was torture! Hahaha!Good thing I had my toy with me!!For some batches, we put them in cupcake trays to create cookie cakes! We have no self control. Low EQ. I think we finished one and a half trays. This was my real contributionClearly I’m faking it but I really sleep with my mouth open hahaMy parents used to do this to me when I was a baby!NO FILTER!!THANK YOU LO!!<3 (she was telling me not to take a picture of the colorful sunset because it meant that the planet was more polluted. I said “guuuuurl, I knew that!!” haha but aww what a sweetheart)And thank you to everyone who came to Boot Camp 5 last night! Glad you enjoyed our yummy and chewy cookies!!:) Photos to follow!

hi. not to sound like i’m some know it all biatch, just wanna share that 1 bar of butter is equivalent to 1 cup or 2 sticks of butter, 1/2 cup is half the bar. i guess you get the idea. Hehe, so you wont have to measure using a measuring cup. :)
