After my very successful first Feeling Foodie blog post, I’m happy to say that Candy and I have made our second dish!
We decided to make beef and broccoli because it’s one of my favorites :) Got the recipe from food.com!
Put 2 tablespoons cornstarch, 2 tablespoons water and 1/2 a teaspoon of garlic powder in a bowl and mix until smooth. Add the beef and toss.
In a large skillet with 1 tablespoon oil (we used olive oil because wala lang feeling lang namin mas healthy siya but we really don’t know), stir fry the beef in medium heat until desired doneness.
By the way, when I read the word “doneness” to Candy I rhymed done with dome. I said “until desired done-ness? I don’t know what done-ness is..” – DONEness pala as in medium well, well done, chorva chorva. We had a good break laughing it out and by the time we were over the ka-bobo-han, the beef was ready! Remove from pan and keep warm.

Stir-fry 4 cups broccoli florets and 1 small chopped onion in remaining oil for 4-5 minutes.
Return beef to pan para pumarty sila to the tune of Nelly’s Hot in Herre
Combine 1/3 cup soy sauce, 2 table spoons brown sugar, 1 teaspoon ground ginger and 1 tablespoon cornstarch and 1/2 cup water until smooth; add to the pan. Cook and stir for 2 minutes.
VOILA!
The best beef and broccoli ever <3
Cheers to a job well done!:)
