With passionate blogger, music aficionado and actress Saab Magalona as the newest face of KOTEX®, together with brand ambassadors—radio jocks and courtside reporters Andi Manzano and Jessica Mendoza; musician and fashion designer Kate Torralba; and night-life entrepreneur Kimberly Yao, KOTEX® presented its latest innovation, KOTEX® with Pro-Active Guards—the first ever sanitary pad that comes with intelligent guards that gently rise as soon as it comes in contact with fluid.

Launched at the Prive Luxury Club at The Fort, and hosted by Jessica and Andi themselves, the eventful gathering bannered The End of Compromise, the brand’s latest battle cry for what they recognized as the reinvented Maria Clara—a modern woman who is more dynamic, confident, outspoken and who is firmer with her convictions, despite being under pressure and being under the hassles brought by her period.

Andi Manzano said that as a woman who is outgoing and adventurous, there are a lot of things she doesn’t want to compromise, even the simple things she loves to do for the people she loves.

Jessica Mendoza, on the other hand, added, “There are a lot of ways to practice your passion and you just have to do what you love to do and be who you are, even if you have your period. That’s who a modern Maria Clara is.”

Kimberly Yao, who is very much involved with her work as a Vice President for Marketing of Republiq Club and Opus Restaurant & Lounge, and co-owner of Prive Luxury Club, admitted that her work schedule is not just an all-night business. “People think I’m only awake at night, but in reality, it’s really from morning to early the next morning. That’s why I won’t allow my period to make me compromise my tight schedule and plans for the day,” shared Kimberly.

For Kate Torralba, she deemed she will never compromise her self-expression, since that is the main inspiration as a musician and designer. (Kate couldn’t be at the event because she got sick and was at the hospital :( – Saab)
