Since college, I’ve always been biased towards the Blackberry because I find the iPhone to be such a douchey gadget. I don’t know why I think it’s made for douchebags… I think I relate it to the first generation iPhone and all the rich kids in school walking around pretending to look for signal just so they can show off their latest quote-unquote babe magnet. HELLO kung makapag iPhone ka wala namang internet!! Haha yun ata yung panahon na wala pang Supersurf eh. No, hindi ako bitter, di ko lang talaga type yung touch screen keypad.
I admit, I succumbed to my siblings’ peer pressure a year ago. Now I am reconsidering my decision. I was tweeting the other day about giving up my iPhone 4 because right now I have that AND a Blackberry 9780 because I can’t let go of BBM. I’ve finally made up my mind. I can let go of Instagram and other apps because I have an iPad anyway and I think all these games are f*cking with my attention span.
My current favorite applications:
Locally made Streetfood Tycoon (sorry na-screencap ko nang nakapikit si tycoon)
Instagram (I think my blog is enough narcissism)
Draw Something (I bought a stylus for this game and I’d much rather play it on a bigger screen)
9GAG Reader (I do this to fall asleep sometimes)
Pokemon (my little brother, Arkin, hacked into my iPhone and installed this so I’m sorry it’s not an app you can download!)

Since I don’t have an iPhone or a BB, I can’t really say which one I prefer. I have an iTouch though, and of course a mobile phone. If I would be given the chance: I’d probably choose BB over iPhone, too. Like you said, you have a gadget that let’s you play with your apps anyway (your iPad), so you actually only need a phone that will help you communicate with important people in your life, regardless if it has a gazillion apps or not. I have a touchscreen phone, too, and I’m seriously thinking of going back to actual keypads because, yes, I get too lazy to reply to people using touchscreen, as well. This blog entry made me think! Haha! BTW, I love love love the Streetfood Tycoon app! <3
The only problem I have with BB’s is they don’t have much good apps. And the good ones are not even for free, or have free versions. Boo! But I miss my phone now, it’s in the hospital (LOL aka service center) and I don’t know when I’ll get it back. And do you know that when they can’t fix your phone, they replace it with a new one. Hihi. I hope they do that with mine. Hiiiii Saab! :)

Aww… :( sorry Ate Saab to tell you but I’d choose the iPhone 4S over BB. It’s not that I am against BB, but because it is much easier to use (for me ok) and also I’ve been an owner of an old iTouch that I had in 2009. Also, I think that the apps are really cool! Anyways, I’m really happy for you if you choose the BB over an iPhone. (:
another drawback of BB is that its desktop manager can only run through PC.. unlike iPhone which can actually run through MAC and PC’s..I’m not sure if this problem was already addressed.. and I think we cannot really say that BB is better than iPhone or vice versa for the reason that choosing mobile phones depends upon our preference.. So if you’re satisfied with BB then it’s good for you :)

We have the same issue, ate Saab! I don’t like touch screens too! When mom asked me what will i buy, iphone or ipad. I chose ipad. Though i know they’re like the same pinalaki lang yung ipad and what i like about iphones and ipad is just bcoz of the apps and instagram. Lol. But i really prefer BB over Iphone. I just don’t like BB games that much! :)
My mom told me- “Who has time to play games?” Hahaha and I realized… Oo nga naman. Games are not a deciding factor when choosing a phone :)
I’ve had the Blackberry 9780 for a year when I decided to make my mom buy me an iPhone 4s. But after 2 months, I lost my BB and that was when I realize I liked the BB more. BB Social = the best! 300 a month and you can enjoy unlimited FB, twitter and YM. Plus, the BBM is pretty cool too. I can send pictures and voice notes to my friends anytime I want. So yeah BB >>> iPhone!
