Torch 2012

I highly recommend this summer program for you and your little siblings or, for the mommies that read my blog, for your children! My younger brother Elmo is a graduate and he’s a very determined young man :) Make friends and become a more confident you!

TORCH is FUN, INTERACTIVE and EMPOWERING Workshop designed for young adults (ages 11-16) equipping them with leadership and self-awareness skills to discover more about themselves, overcome obstacles and to achieve greater confidence in themselves and their capabilities.

TORCH focuses on the 3C’s – Communication, Confidence and Competence including the following topics:

  • Personal Values
  • Time Management and Prioritization
  • Effective Communication
  • Importance of Goal Setting and Decision-making
  • Project Management

The program promotes structured experiential learning (SLE) through a mixture of group dynamics, team-building exercises, group discussions, role-play, practice of skills and sharing, with one (optional) day of camp activities. Moreover, the simulation of real-life scenarios shall enable the participants to practice newly learned skills, and thus have an edge in challenging and competitive situations. Graduates of the program are therefore empowered with a greater ability to relate to others with a confidence beyond their years.
