When I went to MTV Asia in Singapore to cover the last Video Music Awards, they gave me a DVD with two episodes of their newest TV show, Awkward.
For 15-year old Jenna Hamilton, played by Ashley Rickards, life is forever changed after an accident turns into a horrible misunderstanding.
Been hooked on it since! It’s so funny!

Okay, so the characters are cliché but there’s something about this show…
The best friends, Tamara and Ming a.k.a. the wannabe and the dweeb
The super crush, Matty, and his very nice best friend, Jake
The evil girl, Sadie (I love her)
The trying-hard-to-be-hip guidance counselor, Valerie
Jenna’s mom was a teen mom so she’s still trying to fit in with the cool crowd – so funny, she’s such a bad parent haha
I just watched episode 10 this morning and I can’t wait for the season finale!

Jenna can be a little O.A. with the facial expressions but I still find her adorable. Her face reminds me of Carey Mulligan’s (I also adore her). I think I extra like her because she’s also a blogger HAHA. It’s pretty cool how her blog from the show is actually on Tumblr. Way to go, MTV!

Hi Saab! Have you ever watched The Secret Life of the American Teenager? It’s a pretty good show, in my opinion. I recently just started watching it and couldn’t sleep cuz I kept wanting to watch the next episode. Hehehe.

I found this on your blog days ago and decided to download the whole season! It’s soooo funny! I’m team Matty all the way. Hindi realistic pagiging perfect ni Jake eh! Hahaha. Anyway, did you know na Ashley Rickards is super smart? She’s part of Mensa!! Ayon, wala lang. It’s so amazing that she broke the stereotype :)
