Mio Mendiola is a 7-year old aspiring artist, who was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia in 2009.
I know Mio through his mother, Jasmine. Jasmine was my ate Unna’s batch mate in Ateneo and she did my makeup for my high school prom. My father lost his battle with leukemia back in 2009 so I try to help spread the word about Mio as much as I can so we can help him win!
Maxx, Elmo and I went to his benefit concert in 2009 and just the other day I got a package with this note in the mail:
Two boxes of greeting cards with the first letters of our names on them!! SO CUTE!!
S is for Saab. S is for Snail!
Cutest thing ever!!!
The Mio Alphabet is a collaboration between 7-year-old Mio Mendiola & graphic designer Alessandra Lanot. The Mio Alphabet collection consists of monogram greeting cards, stickers, framed letters, and paper products, all of which feature Mio’s drawings. 100% of the proceeds of these items will help continue funding the cancer treatments of Mio.

It’s only 350 for a box of 10 cards with envelopes and you’ll be helping out little Mio. If you help out and buy any of Mio’s products, I’d like to send you a greeting card to personally thank you (I only have 10 cards though).
Choose your letter and email your order to miofightscancer@gmail.com

Hi Saab. Thanks for sharing this to us. I feel terribly bad today but when I read the story of Mio, my world suddenly changed. We are still blessed. I will post his story on my fb, twitter and blog. I will ask my family and friends to buy his artworks. I will do my best to help this boy extend his life. He’s really inspiring and so are u. Thanks Saab! :)
Such a talented artist! Thank you for sharing this!
I already posted this on my fb account and soon post it on my blog. This is very inspiring and I give so much respect not only with Mio but with his Mom, Jasmine for being strong because If I were on her shoes, I don’t really know what to do. My father also died with cancer (colon) and I saw all his sacrifices and pain I couldn’t bear to see, what else with a 7 year old boy? I support MIO. Please continue to fight…
Thank you for spreading the word!
